At risk of stating the obvious, our swim club needs swimmers and volunteers to run!
We used to do this using a grubby piece of paper in the pool office (which sometimes went missing, often contained difficult to read writing, and everyone regularly forgot to fill it in whilst they were at the pool).
Cue Gravity Forms and GFChart on the club WordPress website…
Registration is now super easy online!
If you want to quickly repeat this then download and unzip a copy of our form here and import into Gravity Forms on your website (‘Forms’ > ‘Import/Export’ > ‘Import Forms’).
Then insert this code into a sign up page:
[gravityform id="5" name="Swim club registration" title="false" description="false" ajax="true"]
Swimmers registered: [gf_count_entries form_id="5" field_id="3" field_value="Thu 30th July"]
Helpers registered: [gf_count_entries form_id="5" field_id="3" field_value="Thu 30th July" field_2_id="6" field_2_value="Yes"]
(Edit the form_id, field_id and field-value according to your needs).
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the heaps of praise from parents who wished you’d done it that way years ago!
Note whilst the shortcode above is still correct, we have announced that it will be depreciated in future. It is recommended that you use the user interface to create the counter instead.
